The Security Area and Persistent Environments Research Group are sponsoring an open workshop at GGF12 in Brussel on Operational Security for the Grid. The goal is to promote discussion on the security challenges faced by the Grid and what measures are most urgently needed.

9:10-10:30 Session 1: Cross-domain incident detection and response
Procedures, policies, and expectations.

10:30-11:00 Break

11:00-12:30 Session 2: Cross-site authentication and access control
Collaboration is driving a desire for great cross-site trust in authentication and access control. This panel will discuss experiences with different technologies for enabling this cross-site trust and Federation.

12:30-1:30 Lunch

1:30-2:50 Session 3: Risks of being "On the Grid"
Experiences and tools for mitigation. Prioritization of threat analysis.

2:50-4:35 Session 4: Managing the grid endpoints
How can we trust the computers are secure ?
(integrity of systems, verification of code, configuration management, ...)

4:35-5:45 Session 5: Firewall and high-performance networking needs
